Being in private practice since 1985, Dr. Alfonso Barrera has extensive knowledge and experience in the field of plastic surgery and hair transplantation. He has dedicated more than 2 decades of his time to the art of hair transplantation, making him well-known both nationally and internationally for his work in the field. Dr. Barrera conducts his FUT hair surgeries in the clinic’s own Accredited Ambulatory Surgical Facility, extinguishing the need to go to the hospital. He then puts the patient under IV sedation and local anesthesia for more comfort and safety.

Dr. Barrera and his office staff are absolutely AMAZING. It’s incredibly important to find a doctor who not only knows your name but genuinely CARES about you and provides exceptional support throughout the entire experience. I underwent a hair transplant surgery in February 2020. I had a prominent forehead that had been a source of insecurity for me since childhood. Dr. Barrera’s surgery involves taking hair from the back of the head, individual strands, and placing them in the forehead area to fill in the space. He even addressed areas where I didn’t realize it was thinning. That’s what I call attention to detail! I am thrilled with the results. While my hair is still growing in, it has reached my desired bang length, and it looks incredibly natural. Dr. Barrera added enough hair to reduce my forehead size by about 1 or 2 inches (yes, I have a big head!), which has made a significant difference. I did thorough research before choosing Dr. Barrera, and he is renowned in the plastic surgery world, especially for his expertise in hair transplants. So, not only is he the best, but he also has excellent bedside manner – it’s a winning combination! If you have any concerns about your hairline or thinning hair, I highly recommend seeing him. While his prices are reasonable, when it comes to making changes to your body, you want the best, regardless of the cost.
I received a glowing recommendation for Dr. Barrera from another surgeon who claimed that Dr. Barrera was the best at hair transplants. Based on that recommendation, I made the drive from Dallas to Houston to have my “sideburns” restored after a recent facelift. While it’s still early in the process, I must say that my hairline looks better than the one I was born with! Dr. Barrera was fantastic to work with. He took the time to explain each step of the procedure and ensured that I was comfortable throughout. I can’t praise Dr. Barrera and his staff enough, and I highly recommend him for any cosmetic procedure you may be considering!
