Dr. Zufelt is highly experienced and approachable. He sets realistic expectations and delivers on them. I underwent an FUT procedure 8 months ago, receiving 4100 grafts, and I’m extremely pleased with the results. Dr. Zufelt excels at creating a natural hairline and minimizing FUT scarring. I can already trim my hair with a #3 guard, and the scar is virtually invisible. I’m thoroughly impressed with the outcome.

I want to share my experience so far. I did a lot of research before deciding to have a hair transplant. After all my searching, I found “Dr. Z!” I’m currently one week post-op, and I’m pleased with the early results. I understand that it will take months to see the full results, but I’d like to comment on the doctor and his team. The team at the Hair Restoration Center of Utah has been excellent to work with. They are all very professional and personable. Throughout every aspect of this experience, I have received great care, and I’ve had minimal pain. I had several options for where to have the surgery, but the more I researched, the more impressed I became with the Hair Restoration Center of Utah. I narrowed it down to two choices. In the end, what made the difference was finding out that Dr. Z’s top competitor refuses to work with transgender patients and is against medical cannabis. I am a supporter of the LGBTQ community and have advocated for Prop 2 in this state. I cannot support a doctor whose values do not align with mine. Regarding the procedure itself, I opted for a 2500 graft FUT (strip) transplant. During the hair harvesting, they actually obtained 2846 grafts. They transplanted all of them but only charged me for 2500, giving me 346 grafts for free. I also requested PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma), and they included it at no extra charge. I was prepared for the procedure to take up to 8 hours, but they completed it in less than 6 hours, including a lunch break where they provided a nice salad from Zupas. If you are looking for a caring, ethical, and effective clinic for a hair replacement procedure, I highly recommend the Hair Restoration Center of Utah.

I had consultations with surgeons in Arizona and Utah before choosing Dr. Zufelt. I opted for 3,250 grafts using the FUT method. I’m now almost 5 months post-operation and amazed by the results. The scar healed exceptionally well, and the hair growth exceeded my expectations. The recovery period in the first 1-2 weeks was challenging but totally worth it. I recommend thorough research, consultations with different surgeons, and setting realistic expectations. While it’s not a low-cost procedure, the increased confidence and results make it worthwhile.
