Dr. Balwi completed his medical studies at Ege Üniversitesi in 2010. Memberships in professional associations and a residency are not known. He has been working in the field of hair surgery since 2011. With other partners, Dr. Balwi founded Elitehairtransplant in 2016. Hair transplants are performed at Istinye University Hospital. Elitehair offers the FUE method. DHI is also possible. The prices of Elithairtransplant are all-inclusive packages with hotel and transfer included.

I rarely leave reviews, but after my experience with Elithair, I feel obligated to warn others. I underwent a hair transplant procedure at their clinic, and from start to finish, it has been nothing short of a disappointment. Yes, I did sign the necessary documents before the surgery, as they like to point out—but let me be very clear: the hairline that was marked by their team before the procedure was not what I wanted. I raised my concerns three times before the surgery, and several times afterward, but no one genuinely listened or acted on my input. Instead, I was repeatedly reassured that the results would “look perfect after six months.” Well, it’s been over a year, and my hair looks exactly the same as it did before the transplant. No improvement, no difference—just empty promises. What’s worse is their so-called 30-year guarantee, which now feels like a complete scam. I was even given an official certificate to back it up, but now they have the audacity to ask me to pay another €1300 for a correction. If this is what Elithair considers a “guarantee,” then it’s clear they are only using it as a marketing trick to lure in customers. Elithair, you are misusing the word “guarantee” and playing with people’s trust and hopes. I feel cheated, misled, and disrespected. You’ve turned what should have been a life-changing procedure into a regretful nightmare. As I’ve already informed you, I will be filing a formal complaint against your clinic. And until I see accountability or resolution, I will continue to share my honest experience across every platform possible. People deserve to know the truth.

I went to Elithair in Istanbul almost 2 years ago. As I had been suffering from hair loss for several years, I finally wanted to do something about it. I compared several clinics beforehand but in the end I chose Elithair. The consultation beforehand was great and the whole process was explained to me very well. On site, I have to say that I was very overwhelmed by the clinic – I hadn’t imagined it to be so modern and large. Everything was of a very high standard. The hair transplant itself went smoothly, although it did take several hours. I also have nothing but positive things to say about the aftercare consultation. Overall, I can recommend the clinic to anyone suffering from hair loss. Very professional and satisfactory.

The aftercare and donor management were the worst. Some transplanted hair follicles were almost dislodged during combing. To make it worse I did not receive the head massages and there was confusion about which medication I was supposed to be given. The clinic needs to really master how to conduct hair transplants.

I opted for the FUE hair transplant procedure in 2020 and I had just turned 42 years then. Looking back now, this is one of the best decisions I have ever made in my life. I had lost so much hair on my frontal head that I needed 4000 hair grafts from the back. The results show it was all worth it.
