Medical Hair Valencia – Clínica Capilar

I am a non-Spaniard living in Valencia for one year. I'd been wanting to have hair surgery for a while. I had looked online at other countries but decided to contact Medical Hair in Valencia. I liked the idea of being able to meet the doctors in advance (asking the many questions I had) and also book post-surgery appointments (etc).  I don't speak Spanish (not yet anyway) and engaged with Gemma via email and wats app to make an appointment. She was so extremely helpful and made the process so straightforward. I met with Dr. Rafael Abreu for my initial consultation. I was impressed by the level of professionalism of Dr Abreu and his team from the outset. He explained to me the procedure, the success rate, and what to expect after the surgery. I had my surgery yesterday and I am so glad I have done it. I realize it will take time to see the results but I am very confident in the process and the team that completed the surgery. I could not speak highly enough of the team including Dr Abreu, Gemma and Miriam.  I am really delighted I had the FUE procedure done. Keep up the good work!

Yesterday I had my FUE hair transplant procedure at Medical Hair, Valencia. Obviously it’s too early to say what the end results will be, but I can tell you I was totally looked after by everyone at the clinic from start to finish and everything and everyone was very professional and super nice.

I did a tonne of research before choosing Medical Hair and I’m 100% confident I made the right choice. Their excellent reviews here by other customers are richly deserved, the price was very competitive (cheaper than the Turkey clinics I contacted), plus they are local to me, which is important because they want to see you after to make sure everything is going well.

I had my first consultation with Fran in May 2025. We started with oral supplements and mesotherapy. The surgery was in November 2025, and it was painless and completely painless; I didn't even feel the anesthesia.
It's been eight months now, and I'm absolutely thrilled. I'm still taking supplements and continuing with mesotherapy. They're always available to answer any questions or concerns, and the follow-up has been fantastic so far. Like I said, I recommend them to anyone who asks.

After three years since my hair transplant, and having traveled 300 km each time for several subsequent mesotherapy sessions of dutasteride, they now refuse to provide prescriptions unless I continue the mesotherapy with them. To get a prescription for the post-transplant medication, they demand a €90 payment or that I continue receiving treatments with them. In my case, I decided to have the transplant with them based on a recommendation, but if you're not from Valencia, like me, you'll be left stranded if you can't travel there.

Furthermore, I don't even think it's legal to have to pay €90 just for a prescription, especially after trusting this clinic. I don't recommend them.
